Mercury Cadmium Telluride (HgCdTe)
Spitfire is the only independent grower and supplier that grows this rare semiconductor to the stringent requirements of infra-red device manufacturers around the world.
At our production laboratory based in Auckland, New Zealand, we grow the highest quality MCT crystals by a modified Bridgeman technique and process these into wafers for infra-red detector applications. Our MCT wafers and planks are valued for outstanding electrical characteristics - performance that IR professionals never expected from bulk MCT in the past. Our customers value the performance benefits our MCT can deliver to their IR devices as well as the considerable cost savings and stability of supply.
Please complete an RFQ here and we will respond regarding samples for your technical assessments. You can review some of the MCT we have available here in our inventory pages.
